Klaas Wijnne mapping
Based in Glasgow, I taught myself how to make orienteering maps during the Covid lockdown of 2020 as a way to keep on orienteering and have made about a dozen maps since that time. The vast majority of these maps are now used for Clydeside Orienteers (CLYDE). My preference is for rough Scottish terrain (forests, marshes, muirs, hills) although I have made some urban/sprint maps.

CLYDE's Andy Paterson keeping a watchful eye as I had just "stepped" off the podium and fallen flat on my face while continuing to expound the virtues of the Kelvin North urban orienteering map, hence the slightly pained look... (Jan.'25)

Out in the field reccying for the Doon Hill & Fairy Knowe orienteering map. GNSS not always working smoothly but sorted it out in the parking lot with my old laptop "Goldmonster".
